Meeting audio, video & AI notes

Last updated 19 October 2026

Video and audio

Meeting video and audio travel live between the two participants through our video provider (LiveKit). BuyMyTime does not record or store meeting video or audio.

Optional AI notes — off by default

  • Purpose: to produce private meeting notes (overview, key points, action items) for participants who ask for them.
  • Mutual consent: audio is only transcribed when both participants turn on consent in the meeting. One person cannot switch it on alone.
  • Visible state: the meeting shows whether transcription is requested, active or off.
  • Withdrawal: either participant can withdraw at any time in the meeting. Transcription stops for everyone immediately, and leaving the meeting also withdraws consent.
  • Who gets notes: only participants who asked for notes, each receiving a private copy. Notes are not shared with the other person or with admins.
  • Processors: speech-to-text by AssemblyAI via LiveKit; note writing by an AI model via Lovable AI. These providers process data under their own terms.
  • Retention: raw audio is not saved. Transcript excerpts are deleted within 24 hours. Private notes are deleted after 30 days, or earlier if you delete them.
  • Accuracy: AI notes may be incomplete or wrong. Check them before relying on them.

Attendance

To confirm a meeting took place, our servers record when each participant joins and leaves the call. Time in the waiting room is not counted.
